29th- Many thanks to Rob at Small Livestock Supplies in Queen
Street Wolverhampton for his donation of a 20 Kg sack of high quality
bird seed as a fundraiser for our Springwatch festival.
The group were delighted by the sponsorship received from B&Q Springvale, Wolverhampton store, which provided the wood and fixings needed to build over 20 nestboxes for our first project in February 2007. Since then, B&Q have donated wood and fixings to allow the group to organise the building of 14 Bat boxes for Bluebell Walk. These were built in November 2007. ( Pictures on News page ).  Simon Cook, trading manager of B&Q Springvale, hands over the nestbox material to Laura Cousins ( left ) and Barry Proffitt of Wild About Perton. The group have also received a donation of £250 from Perton Parish Council for use on local projects. No decision has yet been made about use of the funds. |
