In
November 2007 the group organised a Bat Box construction event which
was held at Perton library. Again, we were enormously grateful to
B&Q Springvale ( Wolverhampton ) store who generously donated both
wood and fixings to enable the project to go ahead.
The pictures
below show some of the happy visitors who built boxes and also the
group's committee with the result, more than 14 bat boxes to be
installed in Bluebell Walk.

Back
in February 2007, with the kind donation of materials from B&Q
Wolverhampton the group were able to install a series of nestboxes in
Perton's Bluebell
Walk. These children are busy building one of the boxes
during our event at Perton Library.

On a sunny day in late February the installation team went to
work. This project was carried out in accordance with guidelines from the RSPB and BTO.
This picture shows Tina Moore, on ladder, with David & Judy
Naylor, front, Catherine Painter, Carole Davies and others.

Following observation in late March 2007 the Group were delighted to
discover that several of the boxes are being used by Blue Tits. ( See
above right ). Six boxes were installed, five of them were
occupied.
Wild
About Perton were invited by South Staffordshire District Council
and Perton Parish Council to become involved in the replanting of a
roundabout on The Parkway, near Stephenson Drive. This project was
Council funded with Wild about Perton providing the man (and woman)
power. The team are show in action below.
