Last event-    Nest box making with Perton Brownies.

Wednesday evening 19th March 2008. The committee of Wild About Perton assembled at the Church Hall in Perton at 6.00 sharp to assist the Perton Brownie group with making nest boxes for birds. Brownie leader Jayne Maynard had approached the group after seeing us make bat boxes in the Autumn. We were delighted to be of assistance. Beautiful pre-cut plywood kits from local company Ash Plastics and donated to the Brownies were easily and sturdily assembled. By the end of the evening 20 boxes had been built. At the end of the evening the Wild About Perton committee were able to offer advice on installing and siting the boxes in their gardens. We look forward to further events of this nature. We will be able to assist members of the public to build nestboxes at our Springwacth Festival on 5th April. Below, some of the Brownies proudly show off their nest boxes.
